Lake Vyrnwy
Full-Day Tour: Llanfyllin Workhouse, Lake Vyrnwy, Rhiwagor Waterfall and Dyfnant Forest
A relaxed full-day loop from your accomodation in the Welshpool area, with a good mix of local history, scenery and a few easy walks. You’ll begin at Llanfyllin Workhouse, then enjoy a scenic drive around Lake Vyrnwy before a short walk up to Rhiwagor Waterfall. After lunch, there's time to wander through the Sculpture Park and gaze up at the 144 foot high Dam. We’ll finish with a drive through the Dyfnant Forest before heading back to Welshpool.
Good to know
This is a road-based day with short walks, including the walk to Rhiwagor Waterfall. Paths can be uneven and muddy in wet weather, sturdy footwear helps.
Opening times can vary at some sites, so it’s worth checking ahead if you’re planning around a specific visit. If you have any access needs or you’d like to keep walking to a minimum, tell us when you enquire and we’ll shape the day accordingly.
